ABOUT THE HALL
Finstall Village Hall is a registered charity - the aim of which is:
"the provision and maintenance of a Village Hall for the use of the inhabitants of Finstall and the neighbourhood thereof, without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants."
In short it is a valuable community resource which can be used by everyone for anything from childrens parties, to adult education classes to social events and family celebrations. The charity is managed by a team of local volunteers. Money raised from hiring the hall is used exclusively to maintain and improve the building.
The hall offers the following facilities:
a welcoming function room which can accommodate up to 100 people (main hall size 7.2m x 10.5m, height 3.7m)
a well equipped kitchen - microwave, cooker, 2 electric kettles, 2 on the hob kettles, teapots, fridge freezer, cups and saucers/ some cutlery/towels and tea towels per booking.
flexible use, with plenty of chairs and tables -
Tables-: 10 adult, 4ft long x 2ft width. 5 smaller tables suitable for children. Chairs-: 80 adult chairs/30 children's chairs.
a large enclosed grassed recreation area 14m x 27m
a private car park 10 car capacity/front of Village Hall, space for 3 cars. There is road parking, but we do ask that you think of our village hall neighbours and keep driveways clear and pavements clear for pushchairs/ wheelchairs.
